The fascination with movies and movie-making is apparent in today's society. We believe that in order to move forward, the best way to learn is to look back in time at the history of early movie projection.
We provide illustrated talks on the subject of the history of movie projection. This is backed up with our extensive library of early movies including ones such as Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. Home movies were popular in the 1960's and 1970's and provided the experience of watching ordinary people in home and working lives, recorded with vintage cameras of which we bring films recordings to the shows.
We also have a range of original travel films covering countries such as Russia, China and USA and can offer high quality 35 mm slide shows which include work that have won national awards and have been shown at the Edinburgh Festival.
Additionally we offer multi-projector audio-visuals one of which was a runner up in a BBC film competition.
An opportunity to see and handle the vintage projectors and and a basic guided talk on how they work will be available.
